The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is offering the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship, a six-month program designed for women journalists who focus on human rights and social justice. Named in honor of Elizabeth Neuffer, a Boston Globe correspondent and 1998 IWMF Courage in Journalism Award winner who was killed in Iraq in 2003, the fellowship provides participants with access to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Center for International Studies and opportunities to collaborate with leading media outlets such as The Boston Globe and The New York Times.
- Eligibility
- Applicants must be women journalists working in print, broadcast, or online media.
- A minimum of three years of professional journalism experience is required.
- Freelance journalists are eligible to apply.
- Non-native English speakers must demonstrate excellent written and verbal English skills to fully participate in and benefit from the program.
- Benefits
- A stipend will be provided to cover living expenses.
- The program covers airfare, housing, and health insurance.
